Best top and base coats?
I'm plotting a big transdesign order before OPI is officially gone (although I only want a couple things) and want to know: what do you think is the best base and top coats?
I use Seche but hate how it gets thick halfway through. I have Poshe but the brush doesn't reach down far enough to use half the product. I would like a really SHINY top coat so you can always recommend me something like that ;)
As for base coats I'm pretty clueless!

I tried using Out the Door topcoat, from Sally's it seems pretty good, it's supposed to be a quick dry topcoat. As for basecoat I just use a Maybelline one, since I just use it to make sure my polish doesn't stain my nail. Hope this helps! =D
Lately, I've been using Nailtek Foundation II, with Orly Bonder on top of that, then the nail color, then either CND Air Dry or Out The Door.
I had to quit using Seche because of the shrinkage issues. Poshe never dried as well as Seche to me, and the brush is teeny tiny. Out the Door isn't as thick as Air Dry, but they both do a pretty damn good job as a quick-dry topcoat. I'd say Air Dry is probably marginally shinier than Out The Door, but it's more expensive, too.
I swear by Misa Bang and Misa Breakneck. But I've seen poor reviews of Breakneck, I have to be honest. For me, it's excellent. I think it's glossy too. I have some (rubbish) pix.

top coat - aside from seche vite, I would say china glaze fast forward top coat.
base coat - opi natural nail base. Orly bonder made my nails really yellow. Lots of people love the nailtek stuff too.
Seche is still a good top coat, so I'd say Seche + polish thinner :-) I'm using Sally Hansen Nail strengthener/ hardener as a base coat for now
Hi, my fav is Seche top coat, but you can try China Glaze Fast Forward.
my fav base coat is Essie protein base coat :)
Base coat: OPI Nail Envy, it also helps prevent staining.
As for alternative top coats, CND Super Shiney works really well. I've been alternating between that and Seche Vite for my top coats.
Hope that helps. :)
