Sinful Mint Apple + pathetic attempt at stamping
How did I not own Mint Apple before? What the heck is a mint apple for that matter?
Anyways, this is 3 coats of Sinful Mint Apple stamped with Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge. The stamp is from the first Bundle Monster sets. I just can't seem to get the hang on stamping, I always aim a little too far down my nail or end up warping the image. Practice makes perfect, right?

Orly It's Not Rocket Science
I know this has been on every nail blog on the planet by now but I am only just getting around to it. Pretty bad, right? Anyways, Orly It's Not Rocket Science is from the Cosmic fx collection- which when it came out I picked up 4 polishes and all of them weren't quite as great as the hype had made them seem (yes, including Space Cadet) but It's Not Rocket Science won me over. It's nothing overly complicated but it's super GREEN and super SPARKLY.
I think my initial disappointment in this collection was how ridiculously over the top Orly was about how *~unique~* these were (The MINERALFX technology includes specialty mica, that allows for a clearer, vibrantly bright lustrous shimmer. Crystals allow for a multi-dimensional color transformation. Glass particles carefully controlled in shape and size create a luminous phenomenon. This combination infused with the Silica and specific colors selected create this exclusive technology that gives nails a unique optical effect that’s magnified as the lighting source intensifies or viewing angle changes.- SOUNDS PRETTY MAGICAL RIGHT?). When the press release for these came out I was super pumped up, coudn't wait to get my hands on them...but while the colors were unique, they weren't that uber special. And they weren't unique for long, as at least a couple of these shades have probably close to a dozen dupes by now- Space Cadet and Haley's Comet.
These shades were really prettier in the bottle- they shift beautifully from shade to shade but once on my nails I really didn't notice it other than obvious differences in the sun/shade. INRS is a hard to describe green in my opinion. It has a darker green base with chartreuse specks of shimmer. 3 coats.
I'm done with my mini rant now- you may enjoy swatches below if you are still reading ;)

Petites Color Fever Daze swatches
Walking through Rite Aid I spotted a Petites display with a few new shades mixed in with a bunch of core shades. There were a couple semi-interesting new shades but the only one I ended up getting was Daze. This is a rich green somewhere between lime and chartreuse, it has a pretty sheer green base and is loaded with matching green glitter (actually they kind of look almost like teeny flakies?). It is a little more sheer than I would have liked but at 3 coats it is good enough for me, but I don't fear the VNL. I'm gonna try this over black I think but I have to pick up a new bottle since mine have all turned into thick mucky grossness.
Bask in the glory of Daze!

Nicole Justin Bieber Collection Part 2!
Do you have Bieber Fever yet?
The first set of Justin Bieber nail polish Nicole by OPI released sold so well, they followed up with a second set! I was really impressed with the first set and I'm happy to say I am equally impressed with these. These once again contain the "perfect stroke" brush, which I have heard some people don't really like but I stand by saying I love it.
One Time Lime- In real life this is a little bit brighter- super awesome lime cream. 2 coater (but as you can see on my pathetic pinkie- there is still some slight VNL).
So, fun fact I learned from the Justin Bieber movie? His favorite color is purple. I'm not sure how much he has to do with these polishes, but there is 4 lovely purple polishes between the collection. All in all I really enjoyed the movie and it made me like him a lot more. He has more musical talent than I thought, I do actually like his voice and he seems like a sweet heart. I also think he is adorable (in a pinch-his-cheeks kinda way).
See anything you like?

OPI Texas Collection- Part 2
Yesterday I posted the first half of this collection- the sorbets. Today I have the others, creams and shimmers. While I liked the sorbets a lot, this half of the collection is really full of stunners.
Austin-tacious Turquoise- This is the only kind of shade I hate to see VNL on. How pretty is this though? I can't think of another word by PRETTY. It's so sparkly, I would almost say glass flecked and the color is fantastic. 3 coats. And I like it so much you get a second photo:

Black Shatter & Simply Smash-ing
Something I'm really excited about, OPI's new Black Shatter top coat. I've got it over 3 colors for you today, including the Serena Williams polish Simply Smash-ing.
I've been on the hunt, like I'm sure many others, for a crackle top coat for a long time. I recall having one when I was much younger from Maybelline or Cover Girl. I L-O-V-E-D crackle polish and was very disappointed to find that at least here in the US it was impossible to find.
I even ordered the crackle polish from Transdesign and really, I don't even know what that was but it wasn't polish. Sure, it crackled but it also peeled completely off the nail and what didn't was ridiculous to remove. I really don't feel like it was a safe product even- at least I didn't feel like it was safe.
Which brings me to OPI with Black Shatter! The one thing I am confused about is what collection this is part of, as it seems to be a duo with Simply Smash-ing. But then it says...
First I have to show you how it looks over Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry collection...

...With my cute cupcake lip gloss.
...with my cute duckie I got for christmas.
Did I mention I loved this shade? This was so hard to decide to remove and I didn't have a single chip after 4 days- and if I haven't mentioned before I'll repeat: for a glitter this is amazing.
And here is Simply Smash-ing, which I haven't shown you yet. I would call it chartreuse and I honestly don't have anything like this in my collection. This is 3 coats.

Funky Fingers Blitzen- a must see!
I recently discovered a store selling Funky Fingers polish 3 for $5. How could I pass that up? When I spotted Blitzen I knew I couldn't. But what is even better than a gorgeous bottle of polish? A gorgeous bottle of polish that translate to an even better on-the-nail polish.

There is something special in the way this glitter glows. The base is kinda jelly- and get this- what you see here is 2 coats. TWO COATS. TWO! It seems so long since I've been satisfied with a polish- especially a glitter- without needing a 3rd (and sometimes the doomed 4th) coat. Yes, this is a huge deal to me! I typically wear foundation, base coat, polish and top coat- an average of 6 coats of nail product- any one less is amazing. And to add to my joy it was one of the easiest and smoothest applying polishes I've used in a long while. And once again- an easy to apply glitter? Yes, please. But does it stop there? Nope.
While nearly any glitter I've ever worn has badly chipped by the next morning- Blitzen managed to hold on to my nails with barely a chip for 5 days before I removed it. And let me just mention- the couple of chips I did have were my own damned fault (sticker peeling to try and get into the Fort of Wet n Wild eyeshadow).

Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal
Hello readers, I would like you to meet my new lover: Sequin Scandal.
The latest Sally Hansen collection that I searched forever to find, even when I had all the others I desired I was still missing Sequin Scandal. But while I was poking around in Halloween clearance at my local Kmart (yes, we still have a Kmart) I spotted a full display including Sequin Scandal.
This is a gorgeous fall color, dark olive green with green and gold shimmer and flakies. The minute I swept this on it became a favorite, and because it's darker it goes with almost anything (a major hate of mine is when my nails don't match my clothes, yeah, I'm weird).
Onto the gorgeous pictures...these are all 3 coats but it covers easy in 2 (needed to touch up before taking photos).

Some bottle shots to give you an idea of the gorgeous flakies and shimmer...

The one thing is, I'm still not sold on the brush. We have a love/hate relationship, sometimes it works and sometimes...it ends up with weird wonky gaps that are impossible to correct with the brush because of it's odd shape. And I suppose, I'm still not sold on the price tag. They may claim it doesn't need a base or top coat but I beg to differ so it is hard to justify the $7-8 a bottle for a drug store polish.
Stay tuned for more of the fall collection swatches.
Did you manage to find the display? What polishes did you pick up? If you didn't grab any, do you hope to?
