Click for base color and Shine of the Times porn!


Power clutch is a dark gray cream with a slight warm brown tone. I thought I would like it more but felt kinda "eh" about it when it was on. So I decided I would throw a coat of Shine of the Times over it.

When I first saw SOTT I didn't think I needed it, I barely ever layer and I already have Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (which btw, they have another polish out now called Hidden Treasure, same line and everything and I would like to know what that is about) but OMG am I glad I picked this up. SOTT is a gorgeous flakie that flashes all kinds of gorgeous red-orange-gold-green goodness. With one coat my nails were LOADED with flakies. Prepare to see every polish I wear for the next 2 months topped with this! Literally, I'm making it a tag.

The combination of the brown tones in Power Clutch and the top coat make such an interesting combo, what do you think?

Don't Mess With OPI- *swooooooons* The first swipe of this on my nail and I knew I was in love. I mean, look at it. It's the perfect green cream, and a 2-coater to top it off.

Swing Baby. A gorgeous taupe metallic. I feel like this leans rose gold a bit. This is highly reflective, my flash bounced beautifully off of this. A very unique metallic polish!

Classic Camel. Caramel yellow-beigey goodness. I can't think of another polish anything like this one. It has some lovely gold flecks mixed in. There are a few bald spots in my swatches but I think that was my impatient application. I had a horrible feeling this would wash me out but I don't think so, thoughts?

Jitterbug. Another unique metallic polish. Charcoal gray, loaded with silver glitter. Nothing much to say on this but once again, love it.

Ingrid. Alright, I totally absolutely freaking LOVE this polish. I didn't want to take it off when I was swatching. Warm comfy brown with loads of light gold shimmer. This is my ideal fall polish and I can't wait to put this back on my fingers!

Now this is more like it: China Glaze Channelesque. My bottle came a little bit wonky and had spilled down the side :( Poor thing! I'm not really sure how to describe this color...kinda a taupe brown but also kinda purple? I asked several people and they couldn't decide either. It is pretty though, I quite like it! On my pointer I have my first try at using fimo sticks- a starfish. I can't wait to use these more (although they are hard to slice thin). This is 3 coats.

Seriously, the UGLIEST polish I own. I don't know what I was thinking when I even bought this because I HATE browns/neutrals/tans. It isn't even the color that ruins it (though I think it is hideous) but the formula doesn't help it. This is 4 coats. FOUR COATS. This is the worst 4 coater I have ever dealt with. It was uneven, streaky, still had VNL and covered completely different on each nail. And maybe it would look good as a sheer coat? Nope. As a one or two coat this goes one DISGUSTING. Streaky and yellowed, even worse than the 4, ugh. China Glaze, I am disappointed.
