Orly Coquette Cutie, Ancient Jade, Pure Porcelain

I loved these colors together so I had to figure out a way to wear them all, since I couldn't decide between them. I used Orly Pure Porcelain as a base, on all nails I layered Coquette Cutie and my highlight nails are topped with Ancient Jade.

Essie Braziliant + fruit slices!

As soon as I saw the ad for Brazilant I knew I had to have it. Speaking of, I am totally loving their ads lately- including the one for this featuring Braziliant in all it's pure gorgeous shimmering color coating a seashell- google it if you haven't seen (I don't like hotlinking!). This is a gorgeous red-orange with slight pink undertones. Not neon, but packs a punch. I can't wait to wear this on my toesies this summer!
I decided to top them with a little something- some fruit fimo slices and some of those little metal bullion beads in a fuchsia-red. Sadly, I ended up "sliding" the polish on my pointer when I put them on so it got a little messy :( I also still can't get fimo slices to work for me, I think my nails are just too curved and not that the slices were cut too thick like I had thought. The beads I'm not sure if I could get to stay any longer than a couple hours before they started popping off, and they were well embedded in my
top coat- I made sure of that.
Really, I'm just kind of frustrated with all nail art other than simple polish designs. Guess it's a good reason to practice!

Braziliant can be found anywhere Essie is sold, including most major drug stores and Walmart.

Orly Lunar Eclipse + Sparkly Nails stickers

Orly Lunar Eclipse is one of 4 polishes I picked up from the Cosmix FX collection and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in it. At $10 a bottle I expected to be more than a shimmery blue. Pretty it is but not quite the dazzler I expected. But I did choose it as a base for using some Sparkly Nails nail art sticker. I'm using the swirl bindi ones here and they are the prettiest nail stickers I've ever seen. The colors on them are gorgeous and I didn't want to waste them on any old base color.

The nail stickers themselves stick really well, once they were on I couldn't budge them on my own unless I wanted to ruin them. They came 10 in a pack but I couldn't see myself wearing them all at once.

The one complaint I have isn't quite a complaint about the stickers but maybe my nails. I have very tiny fingernails (I can wear kids press-ons) and they are also very very curved. Which means most nail art that must stick to the nail doesn't work out for me :(

You can find these and many other gorgeous nail art stickers on sparkly-nails.co.uk.

And here is a close up of one of the decals, it doesn't quite capture the pretty multi-colors in the flowers.

Red & Cherries using fimo nail art

This is a quick post, I hurt my finger and it hurts to type :( I'll write more on that (including gross pictures) soon but I will leave you with this for the night.

I used:

SH Whirlwind White insta-dri
old Maybelline Colorama orange flakie with no label

Have you tried fimo sticks at all? Cute or not your style? Let me know!

My version- Vintage Floral

Guess where I've been the last couple days? Getting tattoo'ed! I love it. I went to visit a friend and finally get her to tattoo me and I ended up staying the night to hang out AND getting some extra ink while I was there. Nothing major but I can't wait to get more done.

Anyways, here is my take on nail art that was posted by Nails by Rachel! She has some awesome stuff going on over at her blog so check her out. I love her nail art :)

Here is her take on it:

And here is mine (I'm no where near as good as her at hand painting)!:

And here is my left stubs that you never get to see lol:

And here are my nails hanging out with one of my fresh tats. I thought they kinda matched (just link my hair and watch lol):
Would you consider tattoos behind both ears a single tattoo or two? I'll post my other new one with some nail art it has inspired in a couple days. I went swatch crazy the other night so I have tons of stuff coming for all of you to see :)

What I used for this mani:
Essie Mint Candy Apple
Sally Hansen Insta Dri Rapid Red (also for flowers)
China Glaze 2030 applied with dotting tool
Orly Enchanted Forest for the leaves
And something darker red to mix in the flowers but I can't remember what!

And because this showed up in my inbox this morning:
So do you have any tattoos? Tell me about them, I'd love to hear it. Maybe one of these days I'll post all of mine ;)

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! And if you haven't already, click my giveaway link in the sidebar and enter, it ends in a few days on August 6th!

What's With the Cattitude? + Pearls and rhinestones!

I finally got my hands on some of these flat-backed pearls via eBay along with some rhinestone wheels. Here is my first manicure using them with OPI What's with the Cattitude? as a base. These were held on with nail glue, just sticking them in top coat never seems to work. I find they remove pretty easy this way and hold really well! This photo was taken after a massive cleaning/scrubbing session and I didn't lose any bling! I don't normally but I did photoshop this picture a little. While the gems held on I did break the corner of my middle finger pretty bad :( And something discolored my middle finger also, turned my polish yellow! I've never had that happen before, it must have been one of the cleaners I used (although I try to keep to natural cleaning products).

And guess who just took pictures for her next big ol' giveaway? ;)

ChG Lemon Fizz & Happy Go Lucky

I've had this for awhile and never bothered posting it. I kinda hate these nail decals. They are stick on and I just feel like they look...lumpy. Blah. We are currently going through a heatwave here in the northeast so I'm keeping this short since my computer room is about 90+ degrees right now!

Nautical Nails!

Inspired by Apollo's new life vest. I used Sally Hansen Insta- Dri in Whirlwind White as a base on the pointer and pinkie and Rapid Red on thumb and middle. I used China Glaze Ink as a base for my ring with a coat of Medallion over it. The lines on all nails are China Glaze Ink and the anchor is drawn with Art Deco nail art in white :)

Pre-blog nail art

Because I am too damn lazy to edit pictures right now and I found these on my computer the other day...enjoy some of my pre-blog nail art :D
Fingerpaints Easel Come, Easel Go (I HATE this brands names) with an Ed Hardy nail tattoo and a little flair added with China Glaze Ink. Look how short my nails were! So weird to me now.
China Glaze Agent Lavender stamped with fauxnad Hello Kittys, bows and noses filled in and holographic glitter polka dots on the other fingers. This is one of my favorite NOTDs ever!
China Glaze (I think it's called...) OMG stamped with konad diamonds and sparkles. Check out my pretty shower curtain in the back ;)
NYC Polyester Pink, China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway tips and silver nail art pen. cute rung from Forever 21.
Franken mint green (Orly Mint Mojito + White) stamped with konad.
A Sinful glitter applied only to tips. Reminds me of a mermaid tail.
China Glaze DV8 on tips, neon pink stamped with konad was a Sallygirl mini and holographic glitter nail art pen.

Girliest nails ever + NYC blushable creme sticks review

Woot- girly nails! Here is what I used:
Revlon Gum Drop 5 coats, base
Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, blue tips
Franken "Peaches n' Cream", peach tips
Sally Hansen Pronto Pink, bows stamped on blue
Sally Hansen Whirlwind White, polka dots
Color Club Holo glitter nail art, glitter line
Konad plates in M79 (dots), M59 (bows)
Craft jewels
Before konading the bows on the tips :)
Quick review for NYC blushable creme sticks.
Pink flash and Wild Berry
One swipe of Pink Flash and Wild Berry blended in slightly.

I really like these! I was expecting absolutely no color payoff but these are really strongly pigmented. They can be blended much more than the above swatches. I personally love cream blush because it blends better and looks more "natural". I will be looking out for more shades in this line!
