OPI Femme De Cirque soft shades collection
If my swatches are a little messy, I apologize. I tried waiting until my flu was gone but no luck on that. Hard to concentrate when you're ears are plugged :( Anyyyyywho...Femme De Cirque is a collection of 4 polishes: 3 sheers and 1 layering. I love a good sheer as much as bright colors but they always seem to end up streaky for me with horrible application so I never wear them. I was gearing myself up for disappointment as I twirled the bottles in my hand (I LOVE the way sheer polishes look in bottle). So how does this collection hold up?
Step Right Up!- I ended up putting this one back on after swatching. I love love love this super milky pink sheer. It has just the right about of sheerness to it. In real life I would say it's almost a jelly. This shade at least has worn 4 days with no chips, 3 coats, another great application.
In the Spot-light Pink- Much sheerer than the previous two, I think this one gives nails a lovely "healthy" glow and is a great my-nails-but-better shade. Very sheer pink, would be another great base for a french. 3 coats, a little on the thin side for application.
I Juggle...Men- This is the layering polish. I put 1 coat over each of the other shades in this collection and then on my pinky did 3 coats on it's own. The finish on this is very delicate and light, it seems to be pink and blue micro-glitter in a clear base. I'm willing to bet this will layer over nearly anything well. I had a really hard time getting this to pick up on cam, enlarge to check it out (and sorry about the cuticles in advance;) )
I am surprised how much I liked this collection, I expected the worst of these and was surprised. The shades may not be very original but the formula on these makes up for it in my opinion. I would also like to mention that these covered better than I thought they would. I had staining from China Glaze Kiwi Coolada (despite base coat -_-), did you notice it?
Are you picking anything up from this collection? Do you wear sheers? What would you like to see I Juggle...Men over?

Going out in Puerto Rico...
Who comes back from vacation with the flu? Apparently I do. I'm not happy about this, especially if you go a few weeks back I was sick for a week and a half. I have some horrible luck. I've been without my voice and stuck with my ears in a popped state since Wednesday, which is why I haven't updated.
So I'm dragging myself into writing this despite my lack of concentration and dopey state of mind from all that cough syrup. If I ramble, forgive me.
I kept my makeup pretty simple most of the week but on the occasion when we went out this is what I ended up doing.
And wow my eyebrows look wonky. My left grows in farther than the other and it drives me nuts.
UDPP in Eden
Mac Painterly paint pot in Blackground (on lid as base)
Manly 120 palette
Maybelline the Falsies waterproof mascara
Mac Cantaloupe blush
Mac Viva Glam Gaga lipstick
Revlon Colorstay mineral liquid foundation in medium
I am very pleased with the lashes I wore, they are very dramatic and I was afraid would be heavy on my lids as I've previously had happen. I've previously bought eyelashes like this and will never again buy single pairs again. The value is incredible. For around $10 you can get 10 pairs, what I was paying for 2 pairs from the drugstore. I used to feel guilty about spending money on them to be honest, they are pretty disposable. They are really no different either although sometimes these lashes will come with little tabs at the ends that need cut off (they hold them in the packaging) but these were ready to wear. I would really recommend checking out their selection, it's awesome! Especially if you are a falsie lover like me :)
As for going out, I have to give that a bad review. We went to Club Lazer which claims to be the #1 hot spot- pfft- yeah right. The place was pretty run down (I swear they had stairs MADE of rust) and the information on their site was entirely wrong. I much prefer to stay home- did you know in Puerto Rico you can buy liquor at Walmart? Very convenient!
And I must say, you know how dry my skin is (I'm always complaining about it)? Well, apparently it's the weather here because a week away and my dry skin is GONE. Bet it will be back in a couple days though...

What's in my luggage? Part 2
My overpacked Besteyvillle bag, what I'm using for my "shower" bag.
Here's what's in it:
Here's what's in it:
Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer holder and Island Nectar antibacterial (this is normally on my purse), perfume samples in Coach Poppy, Thierry Mugler Alien, Dior J'adore, Missoni, DKNY Delicious & Kate Spade Twirl, Soliel razor (I HATE disposables tbh), Q-tips (will ONLY use Q-tip brand), Herbal Essences Body Envy shampoo and conditioner (I usually use Redken All Soft but I don't feel like tracking down a travel kit with the empties to use for it), Yes to Cucumbers Cool Cucumber facial wipes (about 1/3 left), Fekkai Sheer Hold hairspray (which I lost the lid too of course), Bath and Body Works Hawaii Coconut lotion, L'oreal go 360 clean face wash (I do wish the travel size came with a mini scrubbie for your finger or something because it's annoying to have to bring the little scrubbie on it's own), Lumene Time Freeze moisturizer (love the smell of this too), Udderly Smooth utter cream (I keep a good hand cream on me at all times, I get eczema on my elbows so I must keep this at hand!), Jergens Natural Glow body moisturizer (this is what I've been using to get a base tan so I don't look pasty on the beach), Crest Pro-Health toothpaste, Paris Hilton perfume roll on (usually kept in my purse), Secret Flawless Renewal (another from my purse), Nivea Touch of Sparkle shower gel (I've actually finished FULL SIZE bottles of this stuff!)
There will still be a couple things added, like my scrubbie for my face wash (I love that thing), toothbrush, other assorted items like a hair brush.
What are the items you can't go on vacation without?

What's in my luggage?
Prepping for vacation, I admit that I tend to overpack. I'll be gone for a week though and have room in my luggage, so why not? I will likely be doing makeup for several other people while we are there so I prefer to keep a variety. What I am bringing I have packed in this cute little Strawberry Shortcake lunch box I got on clearance at Walmart for $1.5o! My favorite part is her adorable kitty; Custard.
Look at how cute these little strawberries are!
I'm going to go through layer by layer to show you what I'm taking in this little box...
In no particular order (but I'll try to keep it grouped so you can follow- does that make sense?):
Revlon Photoready concealer in Light Medium, NYX Milk jumbo pencil, Tarte Lights Camera Splashes waterproof mascara, Maybelline One by One waterproof mascara, MUFE lipstick in 36, Milani Crystal Gloss in Summer Baby (gorgeous bronzey pink), Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof (which doesn't hold up all that well in general let alone water), L'oreal Telescopic waterproof eyeliner (which I fear is almost empty), MAC Lipstick in M'orange, Chatterbox, Toxic Tale, Russian Red, Viva Glam Gaga I, Viva Glam Gaga II, Mary Kay nourishine in Fancy Nancy, Avon Glazewear in Tickled Pink, Classic Nude, Cover Girl Wetslicks Amazemint in Happy Hour (I hope to attend a lot of those;) )
MAC blush palette with: Springsheen, Bite of an Apple, Sweetness, My Highland Honey, Peachykeen, Dollymix
Prestige lip liner in Poppy, Love, Revlon Colour Riche lipliner in Always Red, Avon Colortrend lipliner in Neutral, Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Polar Bear, French Vanilla Shake, Ultrasuede, Eternal Innocence, La Noche, Sugar Skulls, Mirrors, Dinosaur Plushie, Harlequin, Marshmallow Puffs, Chrome and Electric Koi (I had the extra room and these are some of my favorites and also very versatile shades)
I'm also bringing my Manly 120 palette separate and stuck a sharpener and nail file in this kit. I was surprised how much I could fit in this single lunch box and I'm glad I can bring enough. I hate having to wear the same makeup day after day and I'll probably be doing my makeup twice a day since we intend to go out. I also wanted to make sure I had enough choices to use on my friends. These are also a lot of products I would normally keep in my purse, which I am carrying on so would rather just check it all.
Some things make seem a bit too much like highlighter, an extra primer (but one has shimmer!), 7 lipsticks is probably overkill, an entire blush palette and not only loose pigments but the 120 palette. I can't help it- the thought of being unprepared drives me crazy!
I'll be posting tomorrow about what I'm carrying in my shower bag.
What are your essentials for vacation makeup? Do you prefer to travel prepared or wing it?

Maybelline One By One mascara first impressions review
Another product I picked up for my coming vacation was Maybelline One By One Volum' Express Waterproof. Somehow my mascara collection only has a single waterproof product in it! I wanted The Falsies waterproof but couldn't find it anywhere so I grabbed this since I've heard good things.
Before I start this review can I just point out this photo they are using to advertise? I know that is common for the completely fake unachievable lashes in ads but I think this has to be one of the worst I've ever seen. I truly don't understand how they are allowed to misrepresent their product this blatantly and it really kind of disgusts me.
Maybelline says:
Finally, bold volume without any of the bulk.
• Patented Lash Catcher™ brush has 3 bristles per lash to make every lash count
• Catches, coats and de-clumps each lash to make them all fatter and flirtier
• Instant clump-free volume
• Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist-tested
• Waterproof, also available in Washable formula

Here are my first thoughts on this product:
On the first coat it nicely separated my lashes, it added a little length but I didn't notice them being "fatter". After the first coat I was really unimpressed, my lashes were no more separated than I am used to with any of my other mascaras. I decided to do something I wouldn't normally do and try two coats. Despite having just applied the first the mascara was already starting to dry, so you have to work extremely fast with this product. On the second coat I had to whip out my eyelash comb immediately. Coat two did make my lashes thicker but also caused a lot of clumping up even after trying to comb them out.
And here is 2 coats on the top lashes, 1 on bottom.
I will be updating this review when I return from vacation so I can properly test the waterproof claims and see if my opinion on this product changes. As I feel right now this product isn't horrible but it also isn't something I would repurchase.
Would I recommend it: based on first impressions, no.
Have you tried this? How did you feel about it?

Maybelline FIT Me foundation and powder review
I always love trying new foundations and my newest is Maybelline Fit Me.
Here is what Maybelline says:
It's makeup that fits you.
- No oils, no waxes, no nonsense
- Natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…fresh, breathing, natural
- Exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin's natural highs and lows to show through
- Non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested
From what I understand the line is designed so that if you find your shade/number in foundation you are the same in powder, concealer etc. The line also includes things like blush and bronzer. I received a sample in the mail to find my color and I decided on 135- Creamy Natural. I have recently been using self tanner so my shade is a little darker than normal. One thing I noticed when checking out the color in store is that they do seem to be either very pink or yellow toned. 135 is more pink, which is the reason I chose it. My skin is more neutral than anything but a lot of foundation tends to be too yellow for me, possibly because I am on the pale side. Anyways...
I like the packaging, it's simple and clean (which I can't say without thinking of Kingdom Hearts). I do not really like that the foundation doesn't contain a pump and is a glass bottle though. The powder is in a sleek black case complete with a decent size mirror and powder applicator.
The color does match rather well, but I think that may be assisted by the fact that this foundation is pretty sheer. I know the product boasts about letting your "natural" face shine through but I find it to be too sheer. I have both psoriasis and eczema which tend to cause red patches on my face and I don't find Fit Me to cover it well enough. It does feel nice and light, it blended easily.
I don't normally use tinted pressed powder- I really only use it to blot shiny spots on my t-zone. I didn't find the color to blend in that well to my skin- which may be due to how dry my face is. The color of the powder seemed to be more yellow than the foundation and didn't sit well on my face. I don't think you can see it in photos but the yellowish pigment clings to any dry spots on my face and is NOT a good look.
Feel free to enlarge these photos, I left them large so you can see in detail the coverage.
All in all, I will likely not use the powder because the shade does not suit me. I will probably wear this foundation on days I'm in a hurry and not doing a full face of makeup.
The line sells at most drug store chains, the foundation for around $7 and the powder also around $7.
Would I recommend it? I would recommend the foundation to anyone looking for lighter coverage, I would not recommend the powder at least on the basis of the products are meant to match.
How do you feel about sheer foundations? Would you like to try this product?

Cover Girl Lip Perfection Enchantress, Divine, Hot Passion
Morning chickadees! Today I bring you 3 more swatches from Cover Girl's Lip Perfection line.
Enchantress, Divine, Hot Passion
Enchantress- I didn't realize this shade was a frost and I'm a little disappointed. Pretty color but a little too heavy on the shimmer.
Divine- I love this shade! I've been looking for a color like this forever and this is the first time I've found a shade that stays true to the purple shade it is in the tube.
I know I haven't done a full review on these but I find lipstick kind of hard to review but I do like the formula on these a lot.
You can find these at most drug stores for $7-8.
Would I recommend it? Yes
Like them? Would you wear any of them (I would love to see some ladies wearing Divine!)? Do you think Hot Passion is gorgeous like I do?

Wet N Wild H20 Proof liquid liner review
As I have less than a week left before I leave for Puerto Rico I decided I may want to look for a backup waterproof liner as I intend to spend as much time as possible at the beach. The one I use is from L'oreal and while I'm happy with it, I couldn't find it at Rite Aid! I have heard a lot of good things about Wet N Wild's H20 Proof liners but have never tried them myself. Since I like their other liquid liners I figured I would give it a try.
The first thing I noticed was that the applicator, which I would assume would be the same as their other liners, is not a typical felt tip or tiny brush but seems to be made of plastic. When I first tried it out it worked fine, but when I tried to create a wing I ran into some issues. Because the applicator is plastic the liner doesn't "sink into" it at all which means that it leaves gobs or liner in spots even after I try wiping off excess product. It did not make for easy application, let's just say my wing was not meant to be as big as it came out. I also had trouble making a fine point as the applicator is a little bit bulkier than normal.
To add to that, the color which I tried (Black Brown) went on kinda streaky. Once again I think this isn't helped by the plastic applicator which doesn't evenly distribute the product.
But the worst part in my opinion was that (even after waiting more than a minute) when I moved my eyelid the product did this:
And it was still entirely tacky to the touch. The one thing I cannot stand is slow drying eyeliner. As one of the final steps it can totally ruin all the work you have put into your eye makeup!
As for removal, I tried with just a makeup wipe and it was a pain in the butt so I would recommend an eye makeup remover that works well for waterproof makeup. It didn't "ball up" as some waterproof products do. I do find that the products that do "ball up" tend to wear worse (Maybelline waterproof eyeliner- I'm looking at you). I won't be testing the wear on this because I was really unhappy with the application so I probably won't be using this again. If I do then I will update later but I don't see it happening.

As to to the claims of waterproof, here is a swatch I did on the back of my hand. The top is right after it is dried, bottom is after a hard hand scrubbing and wiping dry.

Day to night neutrals and new hair color!
Finally crawling out of bed. That flu kicked my butt! I got sick of fighting my roots and killing my hair so I decided to go with a box dye that would work over my natural roots. I used Feria Chocolate Cherry.
Products Used:
MAC Bare Study Paint Pot
NYC Individualeyes custom compact in Central Park
Maybelline liquid liner that I think needs replaced
Lash Blast mascara
Nars Orgasm multiple
Viva Glam Gaga 2
Avon Glazewear in a shade I can't remember but is DC (I loved it enough to buy a backup, will update color later)
Later on I went out for a friends birthday and refreshed my makeup for the night. On my lid I used UD Blunt, Chopper and Twice Baked from the Skull Shadow Box which I've had forever. I had a mix of lipsticks on, will have to update shades later (I'm not at home:)). Sorry for the funny faces, I was tired, still mildly sick and grouchy after a bad day.

Nicole Justin Bieber Collection Part 2!
Do you have Bieber Fever yet?
The first set of Justin Bieber nail polish Nicole by OPI released sold so well, they followed up with a second set! I was really impressed with the first set and I'm happy to say I am equally impressed with these. These once again contain the "perfect stroke" brush, which I have heard some people don't really like but I stand by saying I love it.
One Time Lime- In real life this is a little bit brighter- super awesome lime cream. 2 coater (but as you can see on my pathetic pinkie- there is still some slight VNL).
I've Got Bieber Fever- this polish is IMPOSSIBLE to photo. This is a dark slightly blue (I know it photographs very blue) purple shimmer and it is gorgeous! 2 coater, I added a coat of Make U Smile on the pinkie and pointer. This is what I wore to go see Never Say Never (the JB movie). I thought it was appropriate ;)
Make U Smile- Here over "Baby" Blue. This is large round silver glitter with silver micro glitter in a clear base.
Not a Gold "Bigger"- Not loving the title on this one. At first I was disappointed to see this, I have so many like it in my collection, but this is more true gold (I'll do a comparison soon) then a lot of them seem to run. 2 coats and so freaking shiny!
"Redy" To Runaway Love?- the application on this was soooo nice. 2 coats of beautiful pure cherry red. Ugh, looooove this! I would runaway with this polish.
So, fun fact I learned from the Justin Bieber movie? His favorite color is purple. I'm not sure how much he has to do with these polishes, but there is 4 lovely purple polishes between the collection. All in all I really enjoyed the movie and it made me like him a lot more. He has more musical talent than I thought, I do actually like his voice and he seems like a sweet heart. I also think he is adorable (in a pinch-his-cheeks kinda way).
See anything you like?
